Vintage table cigarette lighter
Vintage pottery pieces
![]()
Three small vintage pottery pieces, all in blue or blue and white. The Delft shoe is probably an ashtray, as there’s a slight indent on the rim at the heel. It measures 4" wide by just over 2" high and is decorated with comma stroke leaves and a windmill scene. The underside is marked Elweco, Hand Painted, Delft Blue.
The match holder is in the shape of a spotted Dalmatian puppy with a blue bandage tied around his jaw as if he has a tooth ache. Marked Japan on the underside, 2-3/8" high.
The last item in the lot is a 2" high barrel shaped toothpick holder with a pretty blue glaze, unmarked. All three items are in very good condition with no chips or damage.

In general, the ashes and butts stand a long period of time in a usual ashtray and often they continue to poison the air. The ashtray permits to hide inside the smoke when the button is pressed.
It is agreeable, aesthetic and hygienic. This is a useful gift for smokers.
